Canada’s leading expert on the Workforce Crisis

North America is in the midst of a massive demographic shift. Currenly 1 in 5 workers is on the brink of retirement. Soon that number will shift to 1 in 3.

Author and trainer Barbara Jaworski has a message for employers: Keep your boomers today or lose your shirt tomorrow.

The KAA-Booming Years

Passionate about issues facing older workers, Barbara goes beyond how the demographic shift impacts the workforce to examine its effect on families, society and the Boomers themselves.

To explain the period between working age and old age, Barbara coined the term “The KAA-Booming years.”

“The impact of changing child labour laws in the 20s resulting in a new period of life: The Teenage Years. In 2011, changes in labour law – this time regarding mandatory retirement age – has created another new period of life: The KAA-Booming Years.”

Spreading the Word

Barbara regularly speaks at conferences, seminars and industry events. A KAA-Boomer herself, she infuses an element of authenticity and humour in her presentations. “After all,” Barbara says. “We boomers have never accepted the status quo. We simply don’t know how to be boring!”
