Meadowlark Optics | Polarimeters

The LCPM-3000 Polarimeter, the Meadowlark Liquid Crystal Polarimeter, is the basis of our polarimeter technology and may be paired with the Eigen State Generator. We created the LCPM-3000 for applications requiring, for example, test and measurement, materials characterization, pharmaceutical development and quality control, ellipsometry, and telecom device manufacturing. As a complementary device, the Eigen State Generator is a reliable product when a job demands a precise and repeatable alignment of a polarization state to a mounting surface. Please explore our full line of polarimeters from the navigation bar at the right of your screen.

The standard in polarimeter technology: the LCPM-3000 Polarimeter.

Meadowlark Optics | Liquid Crystals

A basic building block of our line of liquid crystal products is the Liquid Crystal Variable Retarder , a single one of which can replace an entire series of static retarders. Though typically we list our standard products as the LCVR, Attenuator, and Polarization Rotator, we have the ability to apply liquid crystals in other extremely useful ways.

Meadowlark Optics | Spatial Light Modulators

The Spatial Light Modulators from Meadowlark Optics provide precision retardance control for spatially varying phase or amplitude. Meadowlark SLMs are easily incorporated into optical systems requiring programmable masks and variable input-output devices. Our SLMs consist of liquid crystal pixels, each independently addressed, acting as separate variable retarders.

Meadowlark Optics | Retarders

A retarder, or waveplate, is an optical device that resolves a light wave into two orthogonal linear polarization components and produces a phase shift between them. Ideally, retarders do not polarize, nor do they induce an intensity change in the light beam. Our retarder products include innovative polymer and liquid crystal materials. The resulting light wave generally is of a different polarization form.

Meadowlark Optics Circular Polarizers | Circular Polarizers/Isolators

Achieving optical isolation using Meadowlark’s circular polarizers requires that a given reflection be specular and that there is no medium intervening between the reflector and optical isolator to cause significant depolarization or polarization modification. When circularly polarized light is reflected, its propagation direction reverses, changing left-circular polarization to right-circular polarization and vice versa.
