This quarter’s picture: Education Infrastructure Construction (June 2011) at the Sadlon Centre for Health and Wellness at Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario:
The Canadian federal government’s Knowledge Infrastructure Program (KIP) is a two-year, $2-billion economic stimulus plan to revitalize facilities at Canadian universities, CEGEPS and colleges. New buildings are being constructed and existing facilities are receiving upgrades. The Sadlon Centre for Health and Wellness at Georgian College, Barrie, Ontario is one of the recipients of infrastructure funding. This project involves construction of a 15,500 square metre Centre for Health and Wellness and renovation of 3,850 square metres of vacated space and supporting campus infrastructure. The new building includes labs and classrooms.
