The HousAll Shelter System represents the first major innovation in temporary shelter systems since the introduction of tensioned fabric structures some 20 plus years ago. It is the first system designed specifically to be a high strength, long life, low cost, ‘habitable’ alternative to traditional structures. The HousAll combines modern building materials with several patented and patent pending design innovations to create the first ‘true’ four (4) season globally performing structure; one that can withstand monsoon rains, near hurricane winds, and provides insulation value that will keep a body warm in the cold and cool in the heat. It is chemical resistant, mildew, vermin and insect proof.
The HousAll is designed to work like building blocks is easy to install, with the first 4' (1.22 m) section representing the complete learning curve for building with minimal tools and no ability to read required.
The HousAll Shelter System is modular in construction and designed to be easily configured during deployment as needed. HousAlls are currently available in two standard widths/spans, 12' (3.66 m) and 16' (4.88 m) and may be configured as long as required. All sizes are scalable and grow in common 4' (1.22 m) section lengths.
Available openings consist of simple screened windows through to complex automated cargo doors.
Based on desired protection, the corrugated polypropylene exterior panels have a life span of 10+ years, depending upon the amount sun exposure. The framing components are made rust resistant with a finish of either; Powder Coat Paint or, Bright Zinc Coating, cold rolled steel and/or Bright Zinc Coated steel tubing, and/or, extruded aluminum and plastic. The frame will last for decades. The HousAll can be packaged individually or, bulk shipped by the container load.
HousAlls are very easy to configure.
THE HOUSALL’S ADVANTAGES
In all markets, the HousAll competes very favourably with other temporary structures including all of the following construction methods; tensioned fabric, metal, plastic, poly-tarp, fabric and wood. In almost all cases it costs less and will outlast the competition. In the Commercial and Consumer Mass Market, comparisons have been made to the following competitive products; campers and camper trailers, high end tents, tensioned fabric structures, poly-tarp structures, garden shelters and recreational enclosures.
Because the HousAll was designed with people in mind, it passes North American and European Fire Spread Ratings at the Class “C” level. The HousAll can be manufactured with different product life spans and when properly installed and selected, it can last longer than 10 years before the panel system needs replacement and the substructure can last for over 20 years. In the relief market, comparisons have been made many other forms of structure used, including; ground sheets, tents, yurts, domes, half tubes and high end tensioned fabric buildings. The HousAll will out-perform all of them in price, with the exception of ground sheets, and the vast majority in product life span.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND INNOVATION
Utility Patents are pending worldwide and Design Patent has already been awarded. Design Patent applications provide protection for the HousAll’s unique look and feel while the Utility Patent applications provide protection for the way in which the HousAll is constructed.
The HousAll utilizes a readily available cladding material. It is a corrugated polypropylene plastic sheeting material. Corrugated polypropylene is an excellent material in that it is waterproof, mildew proof, chemical resistant and hygienic.
In addition, the Company’s Intellectual Property includes several other utilities that allow separate polypropylene sheets to be joined as though they were one piece, on flat walls and on curved surfaces. Further, the Patent applications include unique methods for attaching/fixing the sheeting to the structure; these utilities will make it very difficult for competition to develop similar structures that are as easily installed and allow for the same degree of manufacturing efficiency.
