The VU-360 VHF/UHF Direction Finder (DF) provides bearing information of Aircraft VHF/UHF transmission for the purpose of assisting in Air Traffic Control. The system operates in the Civil Aeronautical Band/Military Bandand the bearing information of arriving, departing, and en route aircraftis displayed remotely to a 19" Operator/Control Unit. The DF systemis comprised of the following major sub-assemblies

  • Wide aperture
  • Sixteen (16) dipole element array
  • Adjacent dipole pair sequential commutation
  • Omni central antenna for system test
  • Lightning protection
  • Easily erected and commissioned
  • Obstruction lights
  • Signal conditioning circuitry
  • Microprocessor controlled bearing calculations
  • Microprocessor generated test signals
  • Fourier analysis circuitry
  • Soft switching, to reduce cross modulation
  • Mounted at ground level for ease of maintenance
  • Sixteen (16) connectorized co-axial switch cards forease of maintenance
  • Unsampled dipoles terminated in 50 ohms
  • Three (3) stage superheterodyne phase matched receivers(dual)
  • Frequency synthesizer module
  • RF injection Test Module
  • Full control capability of the system for the technician'suse

Workstations have access to common flight datastored on a high speed duplicated disk located on the main File server.Disk mirroring duplicates an entire physical volume on a second hard disk.If the original disk fails, the duplicate takes over automatically, without any loss of important data.

Audor Communications - atis

The ATIS System is an audio recording and reproduction system used by airport authorities to record and transmit repetitive information to arriving, departing, and en route aircrafts. The information consists primarily of wind speed, wind direction, visibility, air temperature and runway conditions.

Audor Communications - services

Experienced in Air Traffic Control operations, specialists and system engineers provide realistic solutions and cost effectivestudies for ATC and communications problems. ACI designs and manufactures communication controlsystems applicable to ships and coastal control stations. ACI utilizes program management techniques to monitorand control all projects. ACI can arrange financing should the customer be interested.

Audor Communications - consoles

ATC Tower & Area Control Center consolesare custom designed work stations used by Air Traffic Controllers. The console design provides space and integrationfor a Navaids Status Panel, and a runwaylighting control panel. Dual flight strip trays, flight strip storage device, and flight strip holders.
