Pruning – One of the best investments you can make in your property is to keep the trees healthy and vigorous by having a certified arborist assist you with a pruning program. The periodic removal of undesirable limbs and branches is done to enhance the tree’s beauty and structural integrity, while keeping the tree safe. On the other hand, improper pruning of a tree can have grave affects on its health and become a major liability including safety risks and diminishing property value.

Removal – Tree removal is a last resort. Unfortunately urban trees have a lot of stresses affecting them. When a tree is no longer viable, due any number of reasons including improper pruning, construction stress, mechanical injury, extreme weather etc., it is time to have it removed and plant a new young vigorous tree to benefit the landscape.

Tree removal is by far the most dangerous aspects of arboriculture. In urban environments, trees are more often than not growing next to houses, power lines, as well as any number of obstacles, therefore tree removal requires considerable experience and training to safely and successfully perform this task with minimal disturbance to the site.

Cable & Bracing – Cabling/bracing is an option to preserve urban trees that have structural defects. Some trees with two or more dominate limbs can be prone to failing at the branch union. By reinforcing the tree with a combination of cables and other hardware, we can vastly reduce the risk of a major tree failure. When bracing is done correctly, it is unnoticeable and does not compromise the health of the tree.

*A tree does not have to appear dead to have major structural problems. Most trees that fail in extreme weather are in full leaf but have structural weaknesses.

Emergency Tree Care – When storms cause limbs or entire trees to fail, often landing on other trees and/or homes, they can be very dangerous to remove or trim. At Wes’ Tree Service, we have the ability and equipment to perform storm clean up safely and quickly. In emergency situations we are available 24 hours a day.

Disease and Diagnosis – In today’s ‘green’ society, pesticides in many cases are no longer an option. We can diagnose any problems your tree(s) may encounter and work with you to mitigate infection or infestation with Mother Nature’s best interests in mind.

Planting – The most important part of modern arboriculture is tree planting, leaving a tangible legacy for generations to come. Tree planting is relatively simple and we would be happy to give you free advice to perform the task properly yourself. However, if you do not have the means or require large trees installed we would be happy to assist you.
