Backwater valve installation

Basement Flooding, Backwater Valve, Flood Prevention
A sewage backup in your basement is a serious health hazard. It is important that you are proactive to minimize the risk of basement sewage flooding by installing a backwater valve.
Backwater valve installation requires a city permit and must be installed by a licensed plumber to qualify for city subsidies (where they are offered). When installed correctly in the drain system below the floor the backwater valve allows water from your sinks, tubs and toilets to flow out of your home. When water begins to back up from the sewer system, a gate is forced shut, protecting you and your family from damage resulting from a sewage flood.
