From conception to completion, Bayview Stone is your reliable partner in the project, big or small, for the stones from Indiana Limestone. We can meet your projects needs in alliance with our partners to ensure:
- Cost effectiveness
We will provide detail-oriented and customized services to demonstrate you what can be done from Indiana limestone. Our sales representative together with design & estimating team will take care of your project and will go step by step with you:
Evaluation & Shop Drawings
The Sales team can provide the initial quote based on the preliminary information from the client. Before providing the final quote for the project, every project has to be started from the evaluation of architectural design & drawings.
Our partner can develop the shop drawings based on the architectural design & drawings as well as latest measurements taken from the project site to ensure the accuracy. Afterwards, the complete shop drawings in Auto-Cad are presented to the architect, project contractors and client for review and approval.
Our Estimating Department will evaluate the approved shop drawing and estimate/quantify how many pieces and time it will take to finish the project. Based on this, we would be able to provide the final quote for the limestone products to be delivered to the project site.
Every stone piece in the shop drawings will have a project ticket number to ensure the proper production planning and tracking of each limestone piece until it delivers to the project site. Once the shop drawings approved and the Purchase Order signed, the shop drawings are delivered to the Production Department.
At the Production Department, every limestone piece is matched with stock of limestone slabs available to best suit the material yield and minimize the waste. Rectangular pieces are processed through the Bridge Saw Cutter machine. Pieces requiring a profile processed through our Profile Cutting machine and then go to the Polishing Department. Pieces requiring a customized approach go to Custom & Carving Department.
Shipping & Delivery
Every finished piece is properly wrapped and packed into pallets to ensure the piece arrives at the project site without any damage. Small projects are generally shipped via small trucks. Large projects are shipped via flatbed trailer trucks.
Since the majority of our limestone pieces ships on pallets, a forklift is the best way of unloading the trucks. On occasion, projects require stones manufactured in a manner that does not make it possible to ship via pallets. In these cases, a crane is normally used for unloading. If your project requires that piece be shipped in a manner that does not allow a forklift to be used for unloading, we will notify you before shipment is made.
An average pallet weight is 2,000 lbs., but they can on occasion weigh more.
