You will never have dull skates again. SharpTastic Pro Series can sharpen any pair of hockey skates (no matter how dull) in minutes, for pennies a sharpening. It can be used in your basement, hockey dressing room or even on the hockey bench.

Our patent pending design has simplified the skate sharpening process. Using the power of your own 3/8 drill turns SharpTastic Pro Series into a power sharpener.

We built the unit to stand up to the sharpening demands of a typical hockey family. Rugged anodized aluminum base, self lubricating brass bushings, stainless steel shaft and polished brass head, provides the high precision guides for your skate blades.


Instructions:
  1. AttachSharpTastic Pro Series to a 10" piece of wood (either a 2x3 or 2x4) so that you can clamp SharpTastic Pro Series in a vice, screw to your workbench (this is the preferred way to do it), or clamp anywhere with a C-clamp.
  2. Rotate the head selecting the correct guide for your skates
  3. Turn on your drill and lock the locking switch.
  4. Slide the skate blade through the guide, maintaining a light downward pressure on the abrasive.
    Heel to toe and then toe to heel..3 to 5 passes each way.

5. Turn off your drill, 3 more passes to produce a micro-fine hand finish on the bottom of your skate blade.

6. Using the side honing stone provided, stone off the side burr on each side of the skate blade.

SharpTastic Pro Series comes with , a side honing stone, the Stick (skate sharpness tester), replacement sleeves and an instruction manual.

Also included are two packages (10 per package) of replacement sleeves - one package of 80 grit and one package of 120 grit.

Hold Raptor at a slight angle, align the blade between the hardened alumina ceramic dowels, apply a firm pressure, and slide back from toe to heel. If you're on the bench, have a teammate do your skates, or rest your skate across your knee. Two strokes are all you need. Your edges will be sharper.

It has also traditionally been used to renew the blade edges between sharpenings or for those times when you lose your edge during a game or practice. These Aluminum Oxide honing stones come complete with instructions on restoring a nicked edge. A pocket honing stone that can be used to touch up your skate blade between sharpenings. The honing stone is used to remove the burr created during the sharpening process.
