The U15s should be proud of their 2011 season. The summer began with many new faces, and of those, many new to rugby. However, with the leadership of their co-captains, Lindsay Bell and Sam Chasty, they quickly became a close-knit team. Each tournament saw the girls become smarter and stronger rugby players, as they realized the importance of quick rucks and swift recycling. Every player on this team stepped up in some way over the season. The forwards intensified their strength as the backs found their own speed and vision. By the end of the season, these girls were a force to be reckoned with. Indeed, they won the developmental division of the U15 finals. Congrats to our MIPs, Tasha LePage and Delaine Wright, for their vast improvements this season. Our Blues Award goes to Sam Chasty for her dedication to teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship in rugby. Congratulations to all players for a rewarding 2011 season!
