Traditional trenchless lateral relining utilizes the use of a cleanout which is usually situated somewhere close to the property line. This access point is used for cleaning purposes, for camera access and for actual liner installation in certain cases.

Liqui-Force has designed new systems that allow all of the lateral cleaning and installation to take place from access at the manhole, with no need for a cleanout or hole in the lawns of homes or businesses.

The preparation of the lateral is done through the use of a robot inserted into the mainline sewer, which then travels up the service lateral. This device will remove roots, debris, calcite and other foreign materials and wash out the lateral at the same time. During this process, a video inspection and exacting measurements will take place. These two operations will provide a service quality rating and allow for correct sizing of the liners as well as provide for the changes of size made through transitions.

Following the preparation process, and new installation system will launch a liner from inside the mainline sewer and send it as far as necessary up the lateral. At the same time, this one piece system will connect to the mainline sewer to repair defects at the junction, and stop I/I. This newly constructed liner is designed for a fifty year (minimum) life span.

These two new systems will make “Trenchless” totally “Trenchless for the first time”. Laterals will be rehabilitated much easier, in less time, with further reductions to traffic problems and carbon footprint. The simplified system will minimize long term liability to the customer and contractor, as well as save trees, roads driveways and sidewalks.

LFS Lateral Liner

With the use of our unique launching process we are able to invert a liner up the service lateral from within the mainline sewer. This cost saving process eliminates the need for open cut replacement of laterals, road, curbs, gutters and sidewalks. The initial video inspection can be performed from the mainline sewer if a clean out is not present. Our lateral liners range in diameter from 4 inches to 8 inches in excess of 100 feet.

LFS Liner

Final inspection is performed to document the proper opening of the service laterals and the integrity of the new seamless LFS liner. Our process involves the installation of a resin impregnated flexible tube that takes the shape of the original conduit. Utilizing time proven design principals, we are able to provide full, trenchless, structural rehabilitation systems.

LFS Junction Liner

Both the mainline and lateral portions of the liner are installed simultaneously as a one piece LFS Junction Liner, resulting in a smooth interface of the lateral/main connection. The LFS Junction Liner employs many quality control features, such as ASTM F1216 design, vacuum impregnation, inversion installation, and protective carrying devices.
