Ethernet service capabilities:
Integrated, MEF-certified packetVX™ packet service modules provide provisioning and delivery of Ethernet connectivity without the need for separate Layer 2 Ethernet switches.
Wavelength service efficiency and capacity:
Multiprotocol muxponders enable the efficient combination of services through multiplexing onto the same 10 Gb/s or 2.5 Gb/s wavelengths; these modules also offer innovative distributed add/drop capabilities. Multiprotocol transponders provide high-capacity interconnect at line rates up to 10 Gb/s. The architecture of BTI’s dual transponders offers high-density extension of two independent client protocols or resilient 1+1 facility protection of a single client service.
End-to-End service delivery:
Address site-specific, technical and budgetary requirements with 3 platform variants and interchangeable modules. The BTI 7000 Series modular, plug-and-play approach ensures maximum adaptability to network and customer needs.
Rapid provisioning and delivery:
Service-centric management of the BTI 7000 Series with proNX™ Service Manager guarantees customer responsiveness. Provision services like they’re sold, define the port and the characteristics, identify the endpoints, and the system’s intelligence takes care of the rest. There is no manual provisioning of elements, ports, modules at intermediary points.
WDM ‘virtual fiber’ maximizes network capacity with CWDM, DWDM or hybrid infrastructures. Service providers can converge separate, application-specific networks, eliminating the need for reactionary and costly network overlays.
Ensure costs are closely tied to service revenue and subscriber requirements with scalable network capacity that is directly correlated to demand. WDM can be implemented with as little as one service wavelength and scaled to full capacity as requirements grow.
