Options Incorporated has a dynamic and flexible team of consultants that can provide support to your company on a project or problem specific basis and/or on an ongoing basis. We pride ourselves on the fact that we customize all of our services to best meet your objectives and needs.

All of our services are available to all of our clients and do not come pre-packaged to ensure that we are able to custom fit your needs. The following is a sample listing of our services. However, if you are looking for support in an area that you do not see presented here, please feel free to contact us as we are always looking to better understand your needs.

Regardless of the size or duration of your project, we apply the same level of professionalism and attention to all of our work. Small projects are often very specific and require time-sensitive attention and responses. Having a team of Ergonomists available allows us the best opportunity to provide this service to you.

We know that the need for additional manpower to complete a specific project, or launch a new initiative is a growing need in today’s workplace. In response to this and the growing demand to provide ongoing In-Plant Ergonomic support, we have officially expanded our services and are now ready to join your team if you need some ergonomic support!

Firstly, the consultants that will provide this support to you have experience providing in-plant support to other clients, and some have previously worked as company Ergonomists themselves. As a result, we understand the corporate structure and are able to function effectively within it to support your internal needs. We are also able to effectively and efficiently support, facilitate or lead a team as dictated by your needs.

Secondly, the level of support you require can be customized to best meet your needs. This could result in you having an Ergonomist, or team of Ergonomists, in-plant from 1 to 3 days per week on an ongoing basis, or even full-time.

The resources that we bring with us are both intangible, including our experience and knowledge of best practices, as well as tangible templates, design guidelines and training programs. As a result, we are able to provide a fresh look at your project or program and provide direction without having to spend time developing formats or structure.

All of our services are available to all of our clients and do not come pre-packaged to ensure that we are able to custom fit your needs. The following is a sample listing of our services. However, if you are looking for support in an area that you do not see presented here, please feel free to contact us as we are always looking to better understand your needs.

At Options Incorporated we understand that not everyone is either just starting a new program, or already has a strong program in place. As a result, we are ready to work with you to evaluate your current program and develop it into a program that better meets your needs. We have provided support to clients with the following programs or aspects of programs:

  • Committee Development;
  • Policy development;
  • Injury and Modified work statistical analysis;
  • Modified work and Return to Work program development;
  • Engineering or design/tooling change buy-off program;
  • Plant-Wide and Departmental support programs; &
  • Stretching, Material handling, and Patient handling programs.

Determining a starting point for ergonomic intervention or evaluation can best be determined through an audit of your current processes. This typically includes a review of your injury statistics, areas of concern, and then a walk through audit to obtain a high level understanding of your company/plant or departments current status. From here we can assist you in developing a plan to build on your current programs and initiatives.

Our detailed ergonomic assessments are typically completed on processes that have been identified as an area of concern. These assessments include an objective evaluation of workstation/equipment concerns with respect to recognized ergonomic guidelines, identification of areas of risk present in the essential tasks required within the workstation and recommendations on workstation/task organization, procedures or equipment. As a result, this assessment provides a detailed understanding of the areas of concern as well as potential short and long term recommendations and solutions that could be implemented to address the risks.

Summarizing the physical demands required to complete a job in a format that has a high degree of utility is the primary objective of our PDA’s. Through our proven format we are able to meet the requirements of WSIB, MOL, and assist you with your return to work program. Although we regularly use a detailed report format, we also use a chart based summary format for a 2 page easy reference document, depending on your needs.

All of our PDA’s are completed in conjunction with a risk assessment that identifies areas of concern, provides high level recommendations and presents an overall risk rating. This report is effective in developing a prioritized action plan for areas of further assessment or solution implementation.

Determining if a worker is able to return to certain jobs, based on functional restrictions is a critical first step to a successful return to work program. Options Incorporated has been completing these assessments for multiple clients on an ongoing basis. We can provide this service to you on an as needed basis, or work with you to develop your return to work program and make it as proactive and efficient as possible.

Options Incorporated offers many different training programs that have proven to serve your needs and requirements. Our sessions vary in duration from Lunch and Learn sessions (45 – 60 min) up to multi-day sessions. We typically customize our training sessions however we also have a number of generic training sessions that have proven to be successful for many clients. If you are considering completing any training or general educational sessions at your company, please contact us so we can discuss your needs and complete a customized proposal for you.
