I help my clients on three levels depending on their current degree of skill and performance. Level 1 is to review their current fundraising processes and give them practical and affordabe recommendations on how to raise more money - we call this the Development Audit and Plan. In some cases the volunteers and staff need additional training. And finally, some clients want me to be their guide to move them forward and show them in detail what to do and how to do it - I become part of their fundraising team until they have learned how to do the work for themselves.
And when they are ready for that big mountain climb (a campaign) I become their sherpa by writing the Campaign Plan, managing the Campaign Steering Committee through the Campaign Readiness phase and then send them up the mountain with a clear path, the right tools and the skills to succeed.
