On occasion, collection methods and affecting a person’s or company’s credit rating is insufficient to
secure a debt, and legal action must be taken. In such a case, we will recommend legal action after we have verified a source of funds to garnish (such as a place of employment or liquid assets) and given the debtor advance notice to allow them to resolve their debt voluntarily.

Our office has on retainer a legal team and lawyer to execute our small claims and general court actions. Our office will represent our clients' needs to acquire a judgment and then execute through a garnishment order.

We do not increase our contingency fee on legal matters, and only ask the client to provide written authorization to represent them and supply a retainer to cover court costs. The statement of claim issued will include the creditor's original amount, court costs, and pre- and post-judgment interest. Kingston Data and Credit receives our contingency only on successfully securing the debt owed.
