InfinityICF block has cylindrical cores both vertical and horizontal left hollow in the molding process. Once the blocks are stacked and the reinforcement bar placed, concrete is poured into the wall, which once hard, provides a steel reinforced concrete, post and beam grid-wall that remains encapsulated in EPS.

Better than a solid poured concrete wall our Post and Beam Grid-wall is made up of six inch diameter cores of concrete that sit bother vertically as posts on 9.6 inch centers and horizontally as beams on 12 inch centers. These cores have steel reinforcement bar placed as deemed necessary by the engineering requirements provided, (for residential use typically #4 bar is placed in every other vertical post and in every horizontal beam). Between each post and beam are octagonal shaped spaces or voids that are 5 1/4 inches high and 4 inches wide, which remain filled with EPS. The ability to place the reinforcement bar at a 45 degree angle in the areas of the wall, where stress or loading are likely to increase, can be of great benefit. The structure obtained using the Infinity Structures ICF building system will easily withstand violent storms, and can be installed to meet any seismic load requirements of your locale.

Insulating Properties of the Infinity Structures building system are tremendous, providing unsurpassed energy efficiency while at the same time protecting the structure of the building from damaging thermal fluctuations that cause expansion and contraction of materials and lead to an increased need for maintenance. Sound insulating qualities of this system deaden neighborhood, traffic and airplane noises, preserving a tranquil environment inside your home or building.
Value is abundant with the use of the Infinity ICF building system. Installation techniques utilize design features of the ICF block which when coupled with the Infinity user-friendly tool package; provide what we consider to be the simplest, most efficient way to build a quality structure.

The Structural integrity provided by this system eliminates problem causing building movement and compression therefore preserving the performance of both interior and exterior finish systems which in turn greatly reduce the need for maintenance and the conditions that can lead to the growth of mold.

Starting at the corners of the structure and working towards the center, mark on the center lines the locations of each vertical rebar to be placed, these locations represent the center of the vertical cores to be reinforced. Window and door bucks are anchored by imbedding 1/2 inch x 8 inch J anchor bolts in a countersunk manner through the buck and tied to the corresponding horizontal rebar and into the horizontal cores.

Once the blocks are snapped together and fitted with steel rebar reinforcements, they produce the concrete forms into which the concrete is poured for all the exterior walls including the foundation and basement. Structural Integrity is a key to infinity structures building system. This polystyrene application is great not only because it provides the highest quality construction, but also because of its longevity.

InfinityICF - Energy Facts - Infinity Structures Inc

Houses built with ICF exterior walls require an estimated 44% less energy to heat and 32% less energy to cool than comparable frame house; the bigger the house the bigger the savings. Insulations values for ICF walls using polystyrene foam are R-17 to R-26 compared to wood frame?s R-9 to R-15. It keeps the walls of the house a little warmer when outdoor temperature hits its coldest extreme.
