Medical Acupuncture

Contemporary Medical Acupuncture for Health Professionals is a McMaster University-based continuing education program for selected health professionals interested in integrating Contemporary Medical Acupuncture into their practice. Acupuncture effects on humans include muscular relaxation, pain modulation, changes in autonomic activity, diverse neuroendocrine and immune responses, general relaxation, and a feeling of psychophysical well being.


Certified Athletic Therapy

To achieve the status of Certified Athletic Therapist, a candidate must first meet the academic requirements of a CATA approved Athletic Therapy curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree at an accredited post secondary institution. Athletic Therapists work with varsity athletes providing expertise on injury prevention, emergency and acute care, assessment and rehabilitation of injuries as well as developing conditioning programs.
