Oil/Water Seperators

The air compression process has a number of by-products, one of which is a large volume of condensate. Generally, this condensate is an emulsified combination of oil and water which, if left untreated, is extremely harmful to the environment. Because of the potential damage this condensate can cause, strict regulations have been introduced that prohibit the disposal of such waste without rigorous treatment.

PSI's range of condensate separators are designed to separate the oil from the water, allowing for the water to be drained away and the oil to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Air Management

To stay competitive in today's global economy, a manufacturer must control costs. Because one of the principal costs of making a product is compressed air. PSI provides product and service based solutions for application in an integrated total system approach.

  • Intermediate Controllers
  • Industrial Air Receivers
  • Electronic Control & Sequencing

Electronic Control & Sequencing

Managing a multiple compressor installation used to be a complex art. Today, with PSI's selection of electronic control systems, it's an opportunity.

It gives you the tools to optimize overall efficiency, reliability, and maintainability of your installation, from behind your desk or from around the world. In addition, sequencing allows you to save big money on energy costs. This not only benefits our environment, but directly improves your bottom line.

Air Receivers

"Controlled Storage" - Used optimally with Intermediate Controller!

Air receivers store compressed air for peak demand in excess of compressor flow rate. They increase the cooling of the compressed air and collect possible condensate and oil droplets.

CRN and ASMA-Coded vessels. Standard models to 3,750 gallons working pressure, 150-200 pSIG.

Larger sizes, horizontal configurations, custom designs available.

Intermediate Controllers

Stabalize plant air pressure, lower energy and operating costs and improve productivity with ConservAIR's patented Intermediate Control systems.

Compressed air supply is isolated from demand with the introduction of controlled storage. The Intermediate Control monitors air pressure as it is delivered to production and releases air from storage to maintain a continuous, optimal air pressure supply at your workstations. Compressors come on line only as needed to replenish the compressed air supply.

  • Save Money
  • Eliminate fluctuations in plant air pressure
  • Increase Energy Savings
  • Improve Production
  • Control Operating and Maintenance Costs
  • Reserve Air Supply

  • Can be retrofitted to any system
  • Easy Installation
  • Remote Control Monitoring
  • On-line Maintenance
  • Reliable Electronic Authority
  • Allows effcient compressor sequencing

Breathing Air

Just because an air compressor compresses atmospheric air doesn't ensure that the air delivered is "Breathable Air". There is no such thing as a breathable air compressor. Unfortunately our atmosphere is not pure. It is actually loaded with contamination, but we are unable to see the sub-micronic particles and gases. For the compressed air to be suitable for breathing air, it must be properly purified with the appropriate monitoring equipment in place. All of our production meet the Canadian Z180.1-00 standard and the US CGA G7.1-1997 and OSHA Grade D standards.

Clean, oil and water-free compressed air..

Only Compressed air that is totally clean and dry will ensure maximum savings. Failure to purify can be very costly.

Avoid corrosion, machinery failure and product spoilage. Reduce energy costs and improve productivity by installing the quality compressed air dryer and filtration PSI can provide.

PSI offers many different styles / methods of drying yout compressed air.

Some of these include:

Refrigerated Dryers

  • Cycling
  • Non-Cycling
  • Variable-Speed
  • Landfill Digester Gas

Desiccant Dryers

  • Heatless
  • Heat Regenerative
  • Blower Purge Regenerative
  • Heat of Compression

Also available are:

  • Closed-Loop Liquid Cooling Systems
  • Air and Liquid Chillers

The high cost of low quality air

When the air around us is compressed, its oil and water content condenses into droplets, and mixes with the high consentration of particles. the result is an abrasive and often acidic oily sludge that could harm the air system, the connected machinery, and the quality of the end product. The results:

  • more breakdowns
  • production problems / downtime
  • costly air leaks
  • compromised health and safety
  • potential threat to your product's reputation and to the environment

Designed for maximum contamination removal and minimal pressure drop, PSI's selection of filtration options offer significant energy savings in the compressed air system. With smart filtration you can minimize costs & product spoilage and maximize energy effciency.

Piping & Installations

PSI believes in supplying only top-quality OEM and aftermarket compressor parts, service kits and
accessories. PSI carries and extensive parts and acessory inventory for most makes and models of air compressors, dryers, filtration, and breathing air.

The purpose of the compressed air piping system is to deliver compressed air to the points of usage. The compressed air needs to be delivered with enough volume, appropriate quality, and pressure to properly power the components that use the compressed air. Compressed air is costly to manufacture. A poorly designed compressed air system can increase energy costs, promote equipment failure, reduce production efficiencies, and increase maintenance requirements. It is generally considered true that any additional costs spent improving the compressed air piping system will pay for themselves many times over the life of the system.

The Transair Advantage

Transair® enables elimination of the problem of rust, usually associated with steel air pipe systems. It guarantees the complete absence of corrosion (self protection by formation of aluminum oxide). The inner surface of aluminum pipe ensures good and constant quality clean air continuously. Transair® also protects industrial equipment against water deterioration thanks to its quick assembly brackets with integral upward loop.

Nitrogen Generators

Now, NitroFill makes it possible for you to deliver the many benefits of nitrogen-fill to your customers - easier, safer, and more afforable than ever. And you'll benefit, too. By charging a small fee per fill, you'll add a whole new revenue stream for your business. Also, because nitrogen extends the life of the tires you sell, you'll handle fewer warranty claims. NitroFill benefits everyone.
