In December 2010, Strathallen Capital Corp. formed and closed Strathallen Retail Property Fund LP No. 3 (SRPF 3), an investment vehicle comprised of major Canadian Pension Fund investors to be managed by Strathallen.
The SRPF 3 mandate is to invest in Canadian retail properties in the following three categories:
- Core properties with leasing upside
- Properties with redevelopment potential
The portfolio will have a stable of core properties and will include a value-add component for yield enhancement. Over the investment period, the Fund will have capacity to acquire in excess of $300 million in assets. On behalf of the SRPF 3 Partnership, Strathallen is currently pursuing several projects across the country which fall within the Fund’s buying parameters.
