Chiropractors treat people of all ages, from infants to the elderly. Their primary role is to work with the spine and muscles of the body to affect the nervous system. Your spine plays a very important role in your body's health because, not only is it involved in every move you make, it also houses your body's lifeline - your spinal cord and nerves. These nerves allow your brain to control and coordinate all of the body's systems and parts.
Problems start when the nerves can't relay the brain's messages to the body correctly. This happens when the spine doesn't move correctly, which is called a subluxation. The subluxation can pinch and irritate the nerves, changing the messages from the brain to the body. The signs of nerve compression or irritation can range from pain, weakness, numbness and lack of health, therefore affecting your ability to work and play.
Proper alignment and posture are very important for the healthy spine and nervous system. Unfortunately, daily wear and tear, poor posture, improper lifting and old spinal injuries can cause the spine to degenerate up 300 percent faster, leading to a decline in one's overall health.
Fortunately the answer to relieve subluxations and help restore optimal spinal function and posture is CHIROPRACTIC!
Chiropractic allows you to do the activities you enjoy, whether they are walking, biking or just relaxing after work. Talk to your chiropractor to see if he/she can help.

Massage Therapy can assist with the resolution and management of a variety of health concerns:
- Stress Management
- Acute/Chronic Injuries
- Postural Related Issues
- Digestive Problems
- Sports Injuries
Daily exercise routines and the static postures that our occupations require can cause imbalances in our muscles. Our ability to perform effectively is dependent on how our muscles support and move our spine. Proper strength and flexibility in our musculature will decrease the amount of stress our body needs to endure in order to carry out the most basic activities in our lives. Poor posture can develop over time without us noticing, and can lead to other health-related ailments.
Massage Therapy can help reduce the strain on the body by releasing muscle spasms and toxins that have built up in the muscles and cause soreness, poor alignment and undue stress on the body. The key to a healthy musculoskeletal system is a preventative maintenance program. Maintaining a healthy body is important to our overall health and well being during our entire life span.
As we age, our body naturally loses some of its muscle elasticity and flexibility. It is our job to minimize these changes and promote optimal movement. The changes in our body happen long before we start to feel the aches and pains associated with poor posture and old, unattended injuries. Combining Massage Therapy with chiropractic adjustments improves results and helps maintain a healthy musculoskeletal system.
Treatment begins with a thorough assessment, including a case history.
Acupuncture is a therapeutic method used to encourage natural healing, reduce or relieve pain, swelling and improve function of affected areas in the body. Practiced for about 4m000 years, acupuncture is based on principles of traditional Chinese medicine. The treatment involves insertion of very thin (less than the thickness of a piece of hair) and sterile disposable needles into specific points, resulting in an increase of endorphin production (the natural pain-relieving chemical of the body) by the central nervous system. The result is pain relief and enhanced healing. There is no injection of any substance and treatment itself causes minimal, if any, discomfort. Acupuncture is effective and is often successfully used as an alternative to medication or even surgery. Acupuncture is very effective in treating a variety of painful disorders, both acute and chronic, from digestive, respiratory, urinary, menstrual, addiction, neurological and muscular conditions.
Prescription orthotics are custom medical appliances that fit in your shoes and are designed to correct your specific foot imbalances. Orthotics work on the feet in the same way braces work on the teeth - by exerting gentle consistent pressure to bring foot muscles and bones back into proper alignment. Orthotics can be made using two different methods, the best of which is chosen based on your foot. The first uses a pressure sensitive pad that sees the way your foot functions while walking. The other method uses special foam that molds to your foot, which is then laser scanned and, with the help of computer modifications, are made to ensure the proper fit and correction for your individual needs.
The 26 bones of your foot support three times your body weight when you jog. The slightest misalignment of muscles and bones can cause many different problems, from achilles tendonitis, calluses, flat feet, plantar fasciitis, foot pain, shin splints and low back pain to list a few. Another benefit of orthotics is that they help to hold your chiropractic treatment by reducing the stress in your pelvis!
