www.ocsu.ca :: Tutor Registry

By: Ocsu  09-12-2011

Because not everyone in Calculus 111 understands that inverse derivate function right away, and because learning a second language is always easier with someone to talk to, OCSU is happy to provide the online Tutor Registry!

Many of our members striving for the best grades could maximize their potential with just a little help outside the lectures and seminars. Many of our members who join the rest of us from countries around the world could join us more fully with help in learning English. And finally, many of our members are experts in their fields, and are looking to put their skills to use helping their peers to excel as well.

Until now, these members were left to either plaster the poster boards of our hallways with tutoring offers, or to scour these boards for a tutor in the subject they need help with. Our Tutor Registry is designed to allow all of these members to save time and money – to help and get help easily and efficiently.

As an online service, our Tutor Registry is easily available to students on and off-campus. Potential tutors can submit an offer with an easy to use online form that collects all the relevant information. Likewise, students looking for guided study can search for the most applicable tutor on the basis of subject, cost, availability, etc.

And now, the OCSU Tutor Registry has gone national to broaden the opportunities for academic success! You can search for tutors who are fellow members of the Canadian Federation of Students in our region and across Canada! Best of all, this service is free!
