AART: Services

By: Atlantic Assisted Reproductive Therapy (aart)  09-12-2011

AART services include proven procedures and techniques which often involve the laboratory handling of human oocytes (eggs) and/or embryos. Although ART procedures follow a general pattern of ovarian stimulation, monitoring, retrieval, insemination and transfer, therapies evolve rapidly. The most effective approach in your case will depend upon your reproductive health status, needs, resources and preferences, as well as those of your partner.

AART: Blastocyst Transfer

Accurate selection of these embryos enables the transfer of fewer eggs, leading to fewer multiple pregnancies, and ultimately a higher level of success. Extended culture time enables AART to select those embryos with the highest probability of producing a pregnancy. Embryos produced in IVF may be capable of continued normal development leading to a successful pregnancy.

AART: In Vitro Fertilization

In vitro fertilization is a procedure in which eggs are removed from mature follicles in the ovary and then fertilized in a special environment in our laboratory. IVF may be a successful treatment for women with blocked or absent fallopian tubes, those suffering from ovulation disorders, or endometriosis. The fertilized eggs grow and divide for three to five days after which the resulting embryo is transferred into the uterus.
