GroundWork Monitor Enterprise is a real-time availability and performance monitoring system. It tracks and records availability, gives you rapid problem notification, and presents trending data and reports for all of your IT infrastructure, using an enterprise class portal with customizable dashboards.

Integrate What You Have

GroundWork gives you availability and performance information, with excellent visualization tools and graphing. The included portal makes it easy to integrate existing IT operations tools, like inventory, ticketing, asset and configuration management systems.

Feed it Data…

GroundWork can consume data from any source. It’s simple, open, XML feeder format means your applications can feed their data to GroundWork, letting GroundWork take care of normalizing and displaying what your applications are trying to tell you.

…Get back information

GroundWork Monitor Enterprise lets you see your data in context, allowing more accurate, rapid root cause determination for failures. Trending and reporting tools let you filter out noise, and see patterns that help you in making critical management decisions.

A Flexible Architecture…

GroundWork Monitor Enterprise can run as a single system, or as a tiered system spanning thousands of nodes.

…Gives You Enterprise-Class Power

With a distributed, highly-available architecture, GroundWork Monitor Enterprise can scale up to cover even the largest of infrastructures. Managed Service providers, financial institutions, and other security conscious organizations can take advantage of the distributed model to securely monitor systems otherwise isolated from common management tools.

Enterprise Edition Monitors Just About Anything…

Harnessing the power of Open Source technologies, GroundWork can take advantage of the over 1500 Nagios® plugins, as well as the hundreds of Cacti templates and Ganglia monitors. Extending and encapsulating the configuration information for these packages into a system of monitoring profiles, GroundWork revolutionizes the deployment of open source monitoring, making it a true enterprise-ready system.

GroundWork Integrations

GroundWork Monitor Enterprise is the foundation of an ecosystem of tools. We have integrated GroundWork with Remedy, OTRS, and Magic help desks. GroundWork also has extensions to the core product that allow the automated monitoring of Amazon EC2 and Eucalyptus cloud-based systems. We can feed data to other consoles from vendors like IBM, Hewlett-Packard, and CA. GroundWork is built to coexist in todays devops infrastructures.

GroundWork is also backed by global partnerships, many of whom have developed complementary applications. You can flesh out your monitoring deployment by adding on to GroundWork. Here are a few of the applications available.

What We Monitor - GroundWork

In some cases more than one tool will be used, for synergistic effects and greater efficacy, but much of the “nuts and bolts” of monitoring is done with Nagios®. The configuration of this part of GroundWork is done by collecting commonly checked metrics into Profiles, which can then be applied to hosts. The target can be a server, a network device, an application, database or web server, or even an abstract collection of other objects.
