Distance library services are available to Dalhousie students, faculty and staff working off-campus for extended periods of time.


Dalhousie Libraries offer distance services to:
  • Distance Students, registered in a Dalhousie Distance course or program       
  • Faculty teaching at a distance
  • Students assigned to remote work placements
  • Graduate students completing theses or dissertations at a distance.

Course Reserves - Libraries - Dalhousie University

Everything you need to know about electronic reserve lists: digital reserves, creating persistent URLs, scanning print material and who to contact for help. Submit a reserve list 2 weeks prior to the class start date using the following forms to allow for processing times. Reserve materials are items professors have selected for specific courses and given shortened loan periods.


Document Delivery - Libraries

Our Document Delivery Service supports the teaching, learning and research needs of Dalhousie faculty, students, staff and affiliated groups by obtaining materials not held at a Dalhousie or Novanet Library from an external library or document supplier. Dalhousie Document Delivery services will be CLOSED between December 23rd - January 2nd inclusive. Information for other libraries on how they can obtain materials held at Dalhousie libraries.
