Was the Tripleheader weekend a blast or what? A big thanks to all the racers, families and volunteers who made the event such a success… especially those who made the trip from New York, New Jersey and beyond. It was great to see our Granite State Kart Championship regulars run so strong with the drivers from the Northeast Shifter Kart Series and Northeast Rotax Max Challenge. Some of the best racing and biggest fields we’ve seen yet.

One thing that came up a few times with our friends from out of state was their pleasant surprise at the lack of exposed walls and the high level of safety at the track. Please let me make this clear to anyone who has had second thoughts about sprint racing at Loudon: THERE ARE NO EXPOSED CEMENT WALLS. We do everything possible to keep karting safe and fun – the way it should be.

Another person I’d like to give special thanks to is Doreen Simpson. A long-time NHKA supporter, she has worked the gate, registration and scoring. She has also taken on the roles of photographer and party coordinator, plus she was instrumental in setting up this website and keeping it up to date. Doreen is much more than husband Ron’s crew chief, she is a true friend to karting, and deserving of all our gratitude.

Our next race is on the Hill Course at NHMS Saturday August 27th. Now get off the computer, and out to the garage… it’ll be time to race before you know it!

Take three of the Northeast’s most competitive karting series, give them two days of near non-stop racing on one of the fastest sprint tracks to hammer out who is the best. They’ll be racing hard at the NHKA Tripleheader, because both Pre-Final and Final races will be a full 20 laps, and both will count for full championship points.
