The Misonix Sonastar™ is an innovation leader in ultrasonic aspiration offering a curved extended plus a compact handpiece, both operating at the powerful 23kHz frequency for quick and efficient removal of hard and calcified tumors. In addition, the new OsteoSculpt™ bone sculpting technology enables safe and effortless removal of osseous structures to gain access to the surgical site. Active process control maintains all performance parameters like vibration, irrigation and aspiration at optimum settings.


All hand instruments are well balanced and improve tactile feel by being torque neutral. Competitive hand pieces are rear-heavy and require continuous compensation to press the tip down. The tip selection is well defined and includes straight and curved extended precision tips for most delicate surgical needs.


Dynamic tissue management enables intuitive control over loading characteristics from delicate tumor removal over vessel sparing tissue emulsification to debulking of calcified tumors. Load adjustments are as intuitive as altering automotive speed with a gas pedal. The new wireless footswitch controls up to four functions from vibration, coagulation, vibration, coagulation and flush irrigation while offering the convenience of a cordless device.
