Charm ..

This little town is so full of interest and charm that it naturally enhances any wedding here .. take, for instance, the 19th century fife and drum corps parade we experienced marching down the centre of Queen St. - where else are you going to experience THAT?!?!

Lauren's colour palette was based on our '

' palette plus white and a touch of darker pink. Very soft, romantic and flow-y.  The reception flowers showcased deeper medium pink tones.

We designed primarily with dahlias, pink piano garden roses, pink spray roses and some 'gardeny bits' including delicate fern fronds, astilbe and scented geranium foliage from our studio's organic cutting gardens.

Lauren's bridal bouquet included heavenly-scented gardenias ..

P.S. > We actually rescued these real Robin's nests from our gardens this spring .. you just never know what you'll need a bird's nest for! :) (No robins were harmed .. don't worry!).

Cheers and best wishes to Lauren + David .. it was a pleasure designing the florals for your wedding!

Congratulations to Lucy + Paul who were wed this weekend in an afternoon outdoor wedding ceremony in Oakville. It was a blisteringly hot day out .. there was not a cloud in the sky! A perfect summer day in July.

We were excited to design the organic, texture-laden, earthy and informal flowers for the ceremony and reception.  The colour palette followed shades of medium pink, silver/grey, white, deep taupe and blush.

We brought in so much texture by using Manzanita branches, curly willow, hydrangeas, garden roses, calla lilies, orchids, celosia, dusty miller, air plants, pink protea and Hens 'n Chicks (fresh picked from our studio cutting garden!!!).

Lucy's bridal bouquet .. pretty in pink .. love, love, love the Hens 'n Chicks in there!!!

The centrepieces were a mix of tall and short full-floral pieces with our signature glass candlesticks and ivory pillar candles.

Jennifer + Chris win this year's 'Longest Distance' award .. travelling to our little corner of the world all the way from Australia for their destination wedding!

Usually when we work with distance couples, there is generally some sort of family tie to the greater Niagara area, but in this case, Jennifer + Chris simply fell in love with the idea of getting married in Niagara on the Lake!! It turns out Jennifer's family had taken a recent trip to the area and when it came time for their wedding to be planned, Niagara on the Lake became the perfect destination wedding locale for this Ozzy couple!

Jennifer's bridal bouquet was very soft and romantic .. but we spiced it up a bit with some seasonally appropriate berries!

The co-ordinating bridemaid's bouquets ..

The wedding ceremony was traditional Macedonian Orthodox .. very symbolically and culturally rich!

The guest tables featured earth-friendly full floral centerpieces in glass .. along with some harvested tidbits from studio's late autumn garden!

Congrats and best wishes to our new Australian friends Jennifer + Chris .. thanks for letting us share in your big day!

Vineland Estates is still one of the most beautiful intimate winery wedding venues in Niagara and it always feels like coming home when we get to work there. It's great to see Diane and Jared and the crew .. we've got a great history of designing/hosting the most beautiful weddings together!

Mary + Dan were married in the lovely old stone Carriage House overlooking the vineyard with the Niagara Escarpment in the distance .. breathtakingly beautiful! After the ceremony, their guests were invited on a wine tour and the Carriage House was seamlessly flipped into the reception space .. a beautiful tablescape seating 17 guests in the centre of the room!

This closeup of the bride's bouquet gives you a good idea of the colour palette we were working with .. white, ivory and soft blush!

Mary's bridal bouquet .. no bridesmaids this time!

Have I said how much we love this place? I'll let the pictures do the talking now ..

The long harvest or mission-style tablescape is one of our favourite things to do in the Carriage House .. there's something magical about the intimacy and ambiance that it brings to the space.

Cheers and best wishes to Mary + Dan .. it was a pleasure to be part of your special day!

So we're officially in those warm, heady days of summer and holiday weekends make for super wedding celebrations .. especially in Niagara-on-the-Lake!

The bride and bridesmaid's bouquets .. with callas, roses, lisianthus and orchids.

In addition to being a unique wedding destination, Queenston Heights is also a memorial to The War of 1812 where we Canadians kicked the Americans back across the River .. for the first and last time! Don't worry, it's all good .. we're friends now.

Weddings by Colour :: Bliss

For the wedding ceremony, we designed a couple of these oversized altar floral arrangements, some pew-posies and filled two of our 42" glass cylinders with curly willow and red mokara orchids. The well-treed and shaded Miller House garden is a great little gem of a place for an outdoor wedding ceremony right smack-dab in the middle of Niagara-on-the-Lake. The flowers consisted of mainly purple and white hydrangeas and roses, spray roses, smokebush, deep purple vanda orchids and, yep, purple carnations. Best wishes to Kim + Les … thanks for inviting us to be a part of making your Niagara wedding celebration memorable.

Our Collections :: Twiggy - twiggy

This tablescape in the Carriage House features loads of flowers, romantic candlelight, textural elements and the gleam of pristine glass. We were really excited about designing this wedding because it’s really different than what you’d normally see or expect at a wedding. It turns out that we've got this old yellow couch that was sort of one of the main things that started the whole ball rolling ..

Weddings by Colour :: Breeze - breeze

Christal + Ki were married in an outdoor wedding ceremony on the deck overlooking the vineyards with the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario in the distance .. A very modern vintage theme featuring classic glassware and pewter accents such as our hammered-rim votive holders, pewter linens and silver chiavari chairs.

Weddings by Colour :: Glow

We designed using some dazzling yellow garden roses, yellow craspedia, white orchids and hydrangeas, dahlias, delicate cammomile, gloriosa blooms and oodles of gardeny bits such as mint and raspberry foliage from our organic cutting gardens here at the studio.
