A medical illustration recently created for a client that shows the trigeminal nerve in relation to the brainstem, lateral pterygoid muscle, and the ophthalmic nerves course to the levator palpebrae superioris muscle.
The base illustration shows the anatomical features required for the project in an innovative and aesthetically pleasing manner. The levator palbebrae superioris muscle lifts the upper eyelid and is innervated by the ophthalmic branch of the trigeminal nerve. The lateral pterygoid muscle is innervated by the mandibular branch of the trigeminal nerve.
