Don't see what you're looking for in Used Blow Molding Machinery?
Blow Molding Machinery uses a technique called blow molding, which is a method of fabrication where a warm plastic hollow tube is placed between two halves of a mold and pushed to assume the shape of that mold through the application of air pressure.
There are three main types of blow molding machinery:
- Extrusion blow molding machinery
- Injection blow molding machinery
- Stretch blow molding machinery
The blow molding machinery process begins with melting down the plastic and forming it into a hollow tube. This is also known as a parison - defined as a tube-like piece of plastic with a hole in one end in which compressed air can pass through.
The hollow tube is then clamped into a mold and air is pumped into it. The air pressure then pushes the plastic out to match the mold. Once the plastic has cooled and hardened the mold opens up and the part is ejected.
