Dhyana has been devoted to yoga theory and practice for the past twelve years. She draws from many influences, from the esoteric to the practical and scientific. She has been trained in Iyengar, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Kundalini, Sivananda and Swar yoga.
Her classes are meditative and physical. She focuses on energetic principles and on anatomical alignment, bringing in a deep symbolic awareness as well as incorporating physical well being. Above all she tries to cater to the needs of her students through intuition and awareness.
She offers classes at SNAC to the absolute beginner along with those with more yoga experience, emphasizing that we are all beginners.
Yoga is not just a set of physical exercises, but a way to live a more full and enjoyable life, benefiting others. This is Dhyana's goal as a teacher and student of this powerful practice.
