Automatic heating oil delivery: Our experienced drivers will make sure that your deliveries are on time. Les Huiles Norco offers you the most advanced automatic delivery system that allows us to calculate your oil consumption based on the outside temperature using the degree-day method. Our delivery trucks are directly linked to this system and when your oil tank is low, we will automatically fill it up, even for homes heating with dual energy (including heat pumps)
Furnace Protection Plan: The annual maintenance of your furnace will ensure maximum efficiency and fuel economy. This plan includes 24 hour emergency service, an annual service call to clean and tune up your furnace, and replacement of defective parts.
Plumbing: Our qualified technicians are available for plumbing repairs such as circulating pumps, expansion tanks, Mueller and zone valves.
Air Duct Cleaning: Cleaning and disinfection of the air ducts will improve the air quality in your home.
Installation of above ground oil lines: If your existing oil line is above ground with visible rust, and/or greenish discoloration (oxidation), or is underground, we recommend installing an above ground oil line. This will comply with new building code requirements and help you avoid a potential oil leak.
Electrical entrances: If the electrical capacity of your home is insufficient to accommodate a conversion to dual energy or to electricity, Hydro-Québec will require an upgrade of your electrical entrance to 200 or 400 amps. Thanks to our team of master electricians certified by the CMEQ (Québec Corporation of master electricians), we can offer you the expertise to upgrade the electrical capacity of your home.
Dual Energy conversions: A conversion of your heating system to dual energy can dramatically reduce your heating costs!
Dual energy uses both electricity and oil to heat your home. When the outside temperature is colder than
-12°C it uses oil, otherwise it uses electricity. Our most advanced computerized oil delivery system is designed to know when you are heating with electricity and when you are heating with oil and our deliveries are carried out automatically according to your specific needs.
With the recent increases in the price of heating oil, it is clear that electricity is currently less expensive than heating oil. However, we would like to draw your attention to another form of heating that is even more economical: Dual energy!
Dual energy is flexible, economical, compatible and environmentally friendly:
| • || |
Flexible: With two alternative sources of energy, you get the best of both worlds by having the flexibility of selecting the most economical energy source!
| • || |
Economical: Dual energy is the most economical way of heating in Québec* (please visit the website of l’Agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec for more details). With a dual energy system, you automatically become eligible for the Hydro-Québec reduced tariff rate (DT tariff)** which translates into big savings on your electricity bill!
| • || |
Compatible: Whether your heating system works with warm air or hot water, a wide range of dual energy systems are available to meet your specific heating requirements. A heat pump can also be part of a dual energy system and is the most economical way to heat with dual energy. As a bonus, it has the advantage of providing your home with central air conditioning during the summer months!

Environmentally friendly: Dual energy heating systems reduce greenhouse gas emissions!
Norco has been accredited by Hydro-Québec for dual energy conversions for over 15 years. Our team of qualified heating consultants and technicians is only one phone call away. We will help you choose the best solution for your specific heating requirements.
Electric conversions: Norco offers the possibility of converting your existing oil heating system to electricity thanks to our team of master electricians certified by the CMEQ (Québec Corporation of master electricians).
