Proper pool water management starts with the analysis of your pool water. At the beginning of every season, start-up your pool and let it filter for a minimum of 24 hours. Then simply fill a water sample bottle with 1 litre of water taken from the pool at elbow depth and bring it to us at Leisure Pools. We will test for the following:

  • Chlorine, Bromine and Salt levels
  • pH
  • Alkalinity
  • Calcium Hardness
  • Stabilizer
  • Metals such as iron, copper and manganese
  • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)

We will then recommend an easy, hassle-free plan to get your pool up and running for the season.

All pools are susceptible to leaks, most pools will leak at some point from one or more locations. Vinyl liner leaks maybe caused by sharp objects, improper handling of maintenance equipment, ground movement and settling of pool, aging, or even your pets. Other areas susceptible to leaks are pumps, filters, skimmers, plumbing lines, heaters and lights. You may have a leak if the following occurs:

  • Excessive water loss, more than evaporation
  • Water behind liner
  • Pool has air in the system
  • Soggy or wet areas around pool
  • Unable to maintain prime in pump

We have specialized leak detection equipment, if you suspect a leak contact us for a service call.
