Are you feeling unhappy in your work but don’t know what else you can do?

Do you know what you would like to do but are unsure of how to get there?

Are you considering further education but don’t know what is the right choice?

Are you feeling frustrated with your job search?

All these questions can be addressed through individual career counselling.

The first step is understanding your concern and also understanding what you want to resolve through career counselling. Once we have established how best I can help, we then work towards achieving those goals.   Sometimes career assessment tools such as the MBTI or Strong Interest Inventory are used to help us understand your personal strengths and interests. Values and skills are also equally important to consider when exploring career aspirations.  Sometimes career assessments are not necessary and it is through the counselling process that  new understandings and realizations emerge which help you to clarify your career or education  decisions.

If the career or education goal is already clear but the steps to achieving it are not, then  the counselling sessions will revolve around  creating an effective strategy to achieving those goals.  Sometimes it’s a matter of understanding what is an effective  job search and sometimes it is  help with preparing and practicing for an interview that is required to help you get to where you want to go.

Individual Career Counselling is available in person or over the phone. $85/session.
