Inspired Strategies provides an effective resource for workshops and seminars that can be conducted at a site of your choice.  Maria Saley is an experienced speaker and facilitator with a wide variety of experience with businesses, non-profits, University of Calgary and Dale Carnegie.

All workshops and seminars are very interactive and provide significant learning within the seminar. Length of sessions can vary depending on the client’s requirements. These sessions can be split up as well, to allow work in between sessions.  

Workshop Topics

Human Relations and Communication in the Workplace:   Success in the workplace is based largely on how effectively employees communicate their ideas and how well they interact with others.  This workshop focuses on effective communication for various situations as well as principles of effective human relations in the workplace.   Demonstrations, role-playing and case studies are used to enhance the learning.

Winning in the Workplace: Regardless of the size or type of organization, there are common skills required for success.  This workshop is designed to equip the newer employee with key strategies  and tools to succeed in the workplace.    It will  introduce skills to increase effectiveness in time management and decision making along with personal skills such as increasing credibility and resilience.  Each participant comes away with a Success Reference Guide that they have worked on during the day.   

Build an Effective and Accountable Team: Learn skills to inspire your team and address the key dysfunctions that prevent productivity. This seminar includes strategies to work with multi-generational teams and is perfect for an in-house workshop with the complete team.  

Take the Snooze Element out of Meetings:  If you are conducting meetings, you probably want to fulfill clear objectives, gain positive participation, stay on time and create positive action after the meeting.  This seminar highlights the top 5 causes of unsuccessful meetings and how to avoid them.    Participants learn key principles and techniques for planning and conducting successful meetings.

Difficult Conversations: We often avoid the most important conversations because of the stress involved in having them and the risk of an undesirable outcome. This workshop helps with identifying when and how to conduct a difficult conversation

Strategic Planning De-Mystified: From vision through to action plans, a proven process is introduced and facilitated so that participants can start to develop their plan within the session. Your team may want to bring us in for 1 or more off-site planning sessions to help you prepare your strategic plan.

Strategic Selling: Identify your ideal clients, then form strategies to win their business. This seminar can be tailored to include strategic elements that fit your organization and can also include selling specific sales skills training, if desired. Special emphasis is placed on developing effective selling relationships.

Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace: Learn the key elements of Emotional Intelligence, how to improve them, and how they contribute to success. Individual and team assessments can be conducted using the Bar-On EQ-i assessment tool.
