June 11, 2011: HCRG vs QCRG

Hamilton, ON, Canada –

The Hammer City Roller Girls (HCRG)

are excited to hit the track for their home second game of the 2011 season. The

Hammer City Eh! Team

will line up against Buffalo’s

on

Saturday, June 11

at

Dave Andreychuk (Mountain) Arena.

Doors open at 6:00 pm with the first game play set to get underway at 7:00pm sharp.

In the season opener doubleheader on May 7, both teams in the newly re-aligned Hammer City Roller Girls fell to London’s Forest City Derby Girls, so with the sting of that loss and hot off the track from The Midwest Brew Ha Ha tournament in Milaukee, WI, The Eh! Team is gunning for a win.

Recently QCRG has made a name for Buffalo as the all stars, now the Lake Effect Furies had an 8-1 season in 2010, during which they became full-fledged members of WFTDA. The two leagues are long established flat-track roller derby rivals, having skated against each other every season since 2007. In previous meetings on the track, the HCRG has come out on top 2 out of 3 times, so this is stacking up to be an exciting rematch!
