Wood Work: African and tribal themes are once again playing a vital role this season.  Wood themed beads and topaz tinted resin take their place in the form of necklaces and stretch bracelets often being partnered with beads to provide a stylish urban jungle vibe.  You will also see faux wood bangles paired with studs - wear this style stacked high up the forearm - think Catherine Hepburn in African Queen meets Carrie Bradshaw.  Sprinkle a bit of gold detailing and you have yourself the perfect wood jewelry.

Arm Decor: Bangles have been decorating our wrists and forearms for quite some time and will continue to do so.  Although, this season they are taking the shape and descriptions of many trends.   Some of the styles include, intertwined with fabric, mixed wood and plastic, enamel and resin in daring solid colours, colourful stones and wood bangles.

Fringe, Tassels and Pendants..oh my! Fringe, tassels and pendants are everywhere!  Metal fringe necklaces hanging low, in a multi layered neck, or worn high up in the form of a choker.   As a subtle progression from the tribal/western trend, wearing fringe detailed jewelry will most certainly put you on the hot list.  Tassels are predominately on long, long necklaces and often coupled with small charm detailing.  If you're feeling cautious about getting these lengthy necklaces caught on something try tassel dangling charm bracelets, and elongated earrings, which are a safe way to wear this trend without drawing too much attention.but just enough!  Pendants are stronger then ever this spring!  Although, this season we are trading the traditional 18" chain for a much longer chain so they hang low.  Simply, the perfect compliment to the length trend this spring, long skirts, long earrings and long necklaces.  As for the pendant itself, go crazy, anything goes!  These three trends are being seen on everyone from teen queen to women in their fabulous fifties, clearly ageless pieces.

Gold Goddess: We saw gold paired with black this past fall - creating ultra luxe pieces but this season gold is flying solo!  Hammered gold, shiny gold, foiled gold and chunky gold pieces are taking on a whole different attitude this time around.  For an understated transition into this trend, long single strand or hoop earrings offer style with minimalist effort.  If you're feeling adventurous try a statement necklace sitting right at the collar bone - nothing says look at me then the aura of gold surrounding your neck line!

Fit to be Tied: Spring scarves are the perfect fashion pick-me-up..the bolder the better.  Finish off a hot look without dying of heat, choose a lightweight piece in a breezy fabric.
