Finger jointed pine is an ideal material for producing high quality mouldings and many other building components due to its excellent machining and finishing properties.

Finger jointed pine is produced by removing defects from lumber. These clear defect-free lengths are then glued together with interlocking finger joints. Glued finger joints are stronger than the lumber itself. The finger jointing process yields a long length of clear lumber that is straight and stable.
