The first step is to create a move request form in FM:Interact. Because the system is highly configurable, it’s a quick process with no programming necessary. You define the information you want, and you also have control over the options that are offered such as dates, services, etc. If you don’t want to conduct moves on Fridays – don’t. Fridays appear grayed out in the calendar view and your users can’t select it. And you get to decide who can request moves – you, departmental liaisons, or occupants. You can even give different users different views with varying degrees of access into the process. For example, liaisons may request moves and view status for their group but occupants can only view the status of their move. Automated approval e-mails make sure that you get departmental approval before move planning starts. And the process begins!
