Its beginnings- in the melt waters of the ancient Saskatchewan Glacier , high in the Columbia Ice fields of the Rocky Mountains. Its 1287 KM pathway leads across Alberta and through the heart of Saskatchewan where it joins the South Saskatchewan River. We are talking of the North Saskatchewan River, its place in history solidified as the fur trading route of choice and by such mountain explorers as David Thompson.

Fitness Adventures invites you to explore a portion of this famed route on a 290km canoe odyssey. Dubbed the Fort to Fort River Expedition this race will take you from the  Rocky Mountain House National Historic site to Fort Edmonton. Put August 5th & 6th 2006 on your calendar and come  race the best in the west.
