Its beginnings- in the melt waters of the ancient Saskatchewan Glacier , high in
the Columbia Ice fields of the Rocky Mountains. Its 1287 KM pathway leads across
Alberta and through the heart of Saskatchewan where it joins the South
Saskatchewan River. We are talking of the North Saskatchewan River, its place in
history solidified as the fur trading route of choice and by such mountain
explorers as David Thompson.
Fitness Adventures invites you to explore a portion of this famed route on a
290km canoe odyssey. Dubbed the Fort to Fort River Expedition this race will
take you from the Rocky Mountain House National Historic site to Fort
Edmonton. Put August 5th & 6th 2006 on your calendar and come race the
