I’ve participated in a few blind egg taste tests and I must confess that I find it hard to tell the difference between free run, organic, conventional, brown, or white eggs.

I honestly can’t say that one type of egg tastes consistently better, or for that matter, much different than another.

Maybe my taste buds aren’t that refined. Or maybe there’s another reason.

Backyard chicken flock owner Tamar Haspel recently wrote about an egg tasting she conducted to determine which eggs had the best taste. I found her Washington Post article rather fascinating for a couple reasons: her results, and her honesty in reporting the results.
