Easton Eye Care And Optical
Glasses, Contact Lenses, Lenses
Our comprehensive eye exam includes a complete health eye check and history, testing for glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration, visual field check, automatic refraction, dilation and eye glasses prescription.
Contact lenses are an excellent alternative to glasses. Contacts can correct distance vision, near vision and astigmatism and can be designed to fit your hobbies, career or lifestyle.
A contact lens exam includes an evaluation, prescription, fitting, instructions, trial lenses and contact lens follow-ups for the following 6 months. It is a separate service (and separate cost) from the comprehensive eye exam. Most insurance companies DO NOT cover the contact lens exam, but some will give a percentage off or an allowance toward contacts instead of glasses. GDx screening is a quick and painless enhanced glaucoma evaluation that measures the nerve fibers in back of the eye. The results are instant and can determine defects more quickly than many other tests. Earlier detection can allow for earlier treatment.
In our continued efforts to bring the most advanced technology available to our patients, Easton Eye Care offers the Optomap Retinal Exam as an integral part of examining the health of your eyes.
The Optomap Retinal Exam is a quick and painless digital photograph of the back of the eye that provides important information about retinal problems including macular degneration, glaucoma, retinal holes or detachments, and systemic diseases such as diabetes, stroke and high blood pressure. These conditions can lead to serious health problems, inlcuding partial loss of vision or blindness, and often develop without warning and progress with no symptoms.
