The ability to do so many diverse things is explained by the molecular structure of humate. Humates and humic acids are very “surface active” complexes that hold elements (and fertilizer nutrients) strongly. Menefee Humate ®

Granular all-natural carbon, trace mineral, and humic acid based soil conditioner that acts as an organic chelator, microbial stimulator, and source of vital micronutrients. It has a unique carbon matrix incorporating a high concentration of organic acids, specifically humic and fulvic acids, which improves the plant's ability to take in vital nutrients.
