Using Activity as an example, the Heat Map compares the number of trades over a given 20-minute period from each of the past 30 days. The initial view of the Heat Map on the News App and website shows the four pairs with most forex trading activity and the four pairs with least activity relative to the 30-day moving average.
The Heat Map is color coded to easily spot the hottest currencies (red) and the coolest (blue). Each heat map tile includes a percentage value. For Activity and Volatility, the percentage represents current activity compared with the 30-day moving average: If the current activity matches the average, the percentage is 100%. For price movement, the percentages represent the price change over the most recent 10 minutes. You can view each heat map three ways: FX pairs only, FX pairs and four precious metals, and Watchlist. Use the Watchlist to customize your heat map view so you see only the pairs you care most about.
