Lasers produce highly focused, intense beams of light that are absorbed by dark pigments in the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface and converted to heat, destroying the follicles and preventing hair growth for up to two years.

Multiple treatments are required for complete hair removal -- the follicle must be "active" at the time of treatment, and not all follicles are active at the same time. Treatments are needle-free and do not require anesthesia. Most patients feel nothing more than a slight sting like the snap of a rubber band.

The advantage of the GentleYag laser is that it provides the benefits of skin tightening and wrinkle reduction comfortably, with no downtime, less expensively and with a much improved side effect profile. For patients with significant laxity of the skin, surgery may be the best option, and this should be determined at time of consultation.

The GentleYag laser creates a beam of high intensity light that penetrates deeply into the skin where it causes a deep heating of tissues and contraction of the skin. The laser beam is preceded by a short burst of cooling cryogen spray which protects the outer skin and makes the treatment comfortable.

The GentleLASE 755 nm alexandrite laser is the premier laser for removing hair, pigmented and vascular lesions and wrinkles. The GentleLASE treats all skin types quickly, comfortably and effectively.

The GentleYAG is FDA cleared to treat all skin types, including tanned skin, and offers unmatched Nd:YAG treatment capabilities in permanent hair reduction, vascular lesions, and wrinkles. The GentleYAG has a 1064nm wavelength, multiple spot sizes and variable pulse durations to treat.

The laser delivers an intense but gentle burst of light in long pulses to your skin. This unique, longer pulse delivers laser energy to targeted blood vessels over longer periods of time, resulting in a gentle heating effect and uniform coagulation.

For the maximum long-term resolution, multiple treatments may be necessary.  The number of treatments required varies with the size and depth of each vein but most veins will disappear in two to six weeks.   Your first consultation will determine if you will require Sclerotherapy.  This simple procedure is a small, painless injection causing the main feeder veins to collapse and fade from view.  Then the laser can take care of the smaller spider veins.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology uses high-energy pulses of light to provide long-lasting results. IPL skin resurfacing, collagen stimulation, vein therapy and photoepilation improve skin texture and appearance and remove hair from any area of the body without damaging nearby tissue.

Glycolic peels are the mildest form of chemical peels, which exfoliate the surface layer of skin to expose the fresher, younger-looking skin beneath. Glycolic peels are often preferred for minor skin problems, such as roughness, dryness, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and treatments take only ten or 15 minutes.

Microdermabrasion improves mild to moderate sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems. A gentle stream of tiny particles exfoliates the outer layer of skin and provides a fresh, glowing, younger appearance. Results are comparable to a light chemical peel and should be immediately visible.

Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin renewal procedures, such as laser treatment and chemical peels. Multiple treatments are recommended for full effect.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck.

Made from a purified protein, BOTOX® injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the face a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Eyelash/brow tinting has become a very popular salon treatment, being one of the quickest and more profitable.

Tinting gives great emphasis and definition to the eyes and face without the need for mascara or eyebrow pencils. This treatment is ideal prior to your client going on holiday and can also coincide with a facial treatment.

Waxing is a temporary method of hair removal , which removes the hair from the root. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for three to eight weeks. Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, face, bikini area, legs, arms, back, abdomen and feet .

New hair growth in waxed areas is soft and fine, not sharp and coarse like shaved hair. After repeated waxing for areas like the eyebrows and lower legs, hair regrowth is less common and eventually the hair will never regrow.
