Metaswitch delivers a broad range of telephony application server and switching products that meet the needs of service providers who are building out next-generation voice networks, modernizing legacy voice networks or deploying new voice applications. The Metaswitch product set is unique in the breadth of its capabilities, providing the full range of legacy CLASS services, across traditional or broadband access, with softswitch, application and media platforms.  This complete combination not only provides service continuity as your network evolves, but helps accelerate the roll-out of new high-value services that continue to attract and retain subscribers.

Multimedia Telephony Application Server

From unified messaging to dynamic call control and advanced supplementary services, the MetaSphere MTAS platform is designed to support a broad array of voice and video applications.  As a critical component in next generation network architectures, the multimedia telephony application server enables a complete suite of powerful business and residential communication tools. Standards-based protocols and open applications programming interfaces (APIs) enable this 3GPP-compliant IMS (IP multimedia subsystem) function to be exploited by independent software vendors, dramatically reducing cost and time-to-market when delivering innovative enhanced telephony services.

Media Gateway

Our highly scalable trunking media gateway (IMS-MGW) provides circuit to packet conversion while transitioning in-band TDM signaling to its IP counterpart.  As carriers drive towards all-IP infrastructures, these media gateways provide a scalable and cost-effective way to leverage legacy circuit switch devices, protecting the huge investment large operators have made in this established technology.  With independent H.248 / MGCP media gateway control, our solutions also meet the requirements of network infrastructures built on IMS core components.

Integrated Softswitch

The Integrated Softswitch offers a compact, self-contained solution for small to medium scale Class 4 or Class 5 switch replacement or for VoIP service delivery.  Based on a combination of selected MetaSphere telephony applications running directly on processor blades in the Universal Media Gateway platform, the Integrated Softswitch is highly cost-effective and exceptionally simple to deploy.

Media Resource Server

The MetaSphere Media Resource Server provides an IMS-optimized media resource function (MRF) across all network infrastructures, including wireline, wireless, broadband, cable or satellite.  Designed for scalability and resiliency, the MetaSphere MRS has been purpose-built to deliver media resource functions for MetaSphere telephony application server deployments. Optimized for advanced NGN VoIP infrastructures, the MetaSphere MRS leverages the ubiquitous session initiation protocol (SIP), combined with the powerful but efficient media server markup language (MSML) to deliver customizable, multi-service audio features.

SIP Infrastructure | Metaswitch

The SSR simplifies core SIP routing, untangling the mesh of static route table entries on the ever-growing number of endpoints which lack any discernable dynamic topology discovery mechanisms. Now that SIP services are gaining a resounding foothold in NGN, the increasing number of endpoints, interconnects and sessions must be efficiently managed and effectively maintained.
