The MetaSphere Multimedia Telephony Application Server (MTAS) is architected to deliver rich unified communications services within wireline, wireless and converged network architectures.

In narrowband, broadband and wireless access infrastructures, the MTAS leverages the flexibility of SIP to enable a broad array of services, ranging from stand-alone residential or hosted business voice communications and messaging to complete multimedia telephony. The MetaSphere MTAS resides within the applications layer of emerging next generation networks that are transitioning to all-IP 3GPP LTE, ETSI/TISPAN or PacketCable 2.0 IMS cores. Complemented by our portfolio of OMA RCS/MMTel compliant servers, the MTAS extends a full suite of multimedia supplementary services to client endpoints.

A critical core component for delivering IMS centralized services, the MTAS interacts with call session control functions across the ISC reference interface. Supporting a generic user profile database and employing standard control protocols, the MetaSphere MTAS delivers one-number service parity and synchronization across circuit switch (CS) and packet switch (PS) domains.

Employing a single SIP session, the MetaSphere Multimedia Telephony Application Server controls the entire end-user communications experience from establishing a call to adding or transferring rich media, such as video. The MTAS also manages calls across disparate user equipment and networks, enabling dynamic session continuity. Calls can be jumped from standard narrowband telephones to broadband PC clients, dual radio mobile handsets or single radio devices, such as WiFi enabled tablets or 4G endpoints, with enriched on-demand media.

Highly scalable and resilient, the MetaSphere MTAS is designed to provide a high degree of flexibility when deploying in large and small self-contained (vertically-integrated) or decoupled (horizontally-integrated) networks. With geographical redundancy options across individual components and MetaView - a common operation, administration, maintenance and provisioning platform, combined with proactive and reactive analytics - operators can quickly and easily deploy classic telephony services or innovative new multimedia applications with the confidence of carrier-class availability.

Management Systems | Metaswitch

Providing a consolidated window into the entire Metaswitch product range, including MetaSphere, CommPortal, Universal Media Gateway and Media Resource Server, MetaView significantly enhances your ability to reduce operational costs even as you introduce compelling new services into your network.

4th Generation Communications | Metaswitch

With a portfolio of solutions that includes presence and availability management, an instant messaging server and an intelligent network address book, network operators can deploy mobile handset and desktop applications from any third-party software vendor that conforms to the Open Mobile Alliance Rich Communications Suite.

Perimeta Session Border Controller | Metaswitch

Where consolidation of these individual components is preferred, the Perimeta Integrated Session Controller combines both SSC and MSC elements within a single platform, without sacrificing performance or scalability. A new class of session border controller is required: purpose-built to completely protect your network assets while independently scaling the signaling and media functions.

SIP Infrastructure | Metaswitch

The SSR simplifies core SIP routing, untangling the mesh of static route table entries on the ever-growing number of endpoints which lack any discernable dynamic topology discovery mechanisms. Now that SIP services are gaining a resounding foothold in NGN, the increasing number of endpoints, interconnects and sessions must be efficiently managed and effectively maintained.

VoIP & Voice Applications | Metaswitch

Metaswitch delivers a broad range of telephony application server and switching products that meet the needs of service providers who are building out next-generation voice networks, modernizing legacy voice networks or deploying new voice applications.
