Pressure testing takes place on each and every barrel to ensure that the barrel is acceptable for reuse
When barrels come into our facility we first assess them for immediate damage, then the interiors of the barrels are cleaned and rinsed. The barrels are inspected for rust, if they are rusty they go on for rust treatment. Once the interiors are clean the barrel has the exterior paint removed. After that process the barrels are ready for chiming and pressure testing. Upon passing the pressure test, barrels are then painted and ready for shipping.
