Charloma helps customers with tooling needs on a daily basis. From working directly with high-end injection tool shops to constructing fiberglass vacuum forming production molds in-house. Charloma’s on-site machine shop makes tool repairs and maintenance easy and fast, keeping customer tooling in excellent condition, thus helping prolong the life of their tools.

We know our customers come to us for our plastics manufacturing experience. That’s why we always offer to review our customers' designs to ensure the product can be easily made in production via the chosen process and materials. Charloma has a pool of talented plastics engineers through its relationship with Pittsburg State University, a leader in plastics education. We are located a short 60 miles from the PSU campus and offer summer internships for qualified students. Our relationship with PSU has allowed us to recruit and retain highly qualified and talented engineers. We currently employ PSU graduates at our headquarters in Cherryvale, Kansas.

This is just another added feature that Charloma offers, which helps our customers, succeed. Short lead-times for good quality working prototypes are very important. In today’s fast paced world if you wait till a product is perfect, you may have waited too long and the product might never be completed. Rapid prototyping is an important part in proving out a design and aiding in quicker development. Charloma offers rapid prototypes in many shapes and sizes, and can offer them in all processes including; fiberglass, injection molding, rotational molding, vacuum forming, cnc machining, and blow molding. Charloma’s staff of highly-experienced specialists is capable of meeting the most stringent demands in terms of time, cost and precision in the creation of rapid product prototypes. Some customers can even use the rapid prototyping process for short production requirements.

Charloma currently utilizes 3 and 5-axis cnc routers to perform daily production trimming operations. With these state-of-the-art machines we have the capability to trim and machine the most difficult of parts. These machines assure that specifications are met time and time again. Our computer controlled cnc machines play an important role in assuring the quickest production rate and most repeatable accuracy possible. Our machines are capable of trimming parts as large as 10 ft long and hold tolerances as low as .001”.
