Other products and services from CBRL

Cape Breton Regional Library - membership

When borrowers register at their nearest library branch or Bookmobile they will be mailed a library card which may be used at any branch and on either of the two Bookmobiles. This temporary card allows you to borrow books and magazines, as well as use the public access terminals for computer services. Visitors who wish to take advantage of our other services, such as book borrowing, may apply for a temporary card.

Cape Breton Regional Library - summer reading program

The Cape Breton Regional Library hosts a fun filled program that is designed to encourage children to read throughout the summer; allowing them to maintain or to increase their current reading skills. After reading eight books, children will receive the remaining stickers, and a ballot for the prize draw and an invitation to the closing ceremonies held in September.

Cape Breton Regional Library - kids

Beginning in September and ending in June, these half-hour programs are free of charge, but due to limited spaces pre-registration is required. Toddler Time offers parents/caregivers a place to come with their child to enjoy songs, rhymes, stories and music. Join Bev McGee of the McConnell Library for this one hour program which also includes a play session with toys.

Cape Breton Regional Library - puppets

The performances take place at the McConnell Library on the last Saturday of each month. The CBRL Puppet Group has meetings and performances once a month. Who DOESN'T want to be a giraffe in a puppet production. This could be your chance to shine. Looking to expand your resume.
