Welcome to all families, new as well as returning to the Callingwood Lymburn community playschool. It gives me great pleasure to serve as president this year as I watch my son, alongside his friends, grow and learn through these fast and precious years.
I feel that the general meeting on August 24th went very well and I thank all parents for their cooperation and enthusiasm. I would like to send out a special thanks to those of you who made changes to your schedule after the meeting to remedy my bingo and toy cleaning sign up miscalculation. Being human, and prone to mistakes, I appreciate your understanding and patience.
Please note that if any family would like to have more chocolates to sell, the playschool has purchased extra for this purpose. Simply let any board member know and we will connect you with Shaylene Saxton, any extra boxes sold helps the playschool raise funds to pay for much needed supplies and fun field trips for the classes.
A reminder about parking, please do not use the teacher’s parking lot or the bus zone in front of the school (you will be ticketed and possibly towed at your expense), there is parking along the road. Please drive with care and watch closely for children crossing.
September 12, 2011 – M/W/F Parented Day
September 13, 2011 -Tues/Thurs Parented Day
September 14, 2011 – M/W/F First Day of class (Unparented)
September 15, 2011 – Tues/Thurs First Day of class (Unparented)
Please note that during the parented class, one parent will need to be present for the entire time. This day will serve as an orientation day for your child to the classroom, teacher and the other children as well as for yourself in terms of what to expect on roster “helper” days. There will be information on the
classroom frequently, reading the monthly newsletters and bulletin board. You will receive a reminder from your class rep in terms of duties and instruction prior to your date scheduled.
Again I would like to thank everyone for all the hard work this far in striving for the best ‘First classroom’ experience possible. After all… they are OUR children!
